Call for Papers :: Announcing 2010 Yale Institute for Music Theatre June 13-27

Posted in Ενδιαφέροντα on Νοέμβριος 17, 2009 by newriters

Now in its second year, the Yale Institute for Music Theatre,  endeavors to bridge the gap between graduate school and the professional world for gifted, emerging composers and playwrights. Developed as a laboratory for the creation of music theatre works, YIMT runs from June 13 to 27, 2010. Three works will be selected for workshop.  Submissions must be received by January 11, 2010. The three selections will be announced by March 1, 2009.

Book musicals, opera, and other imaginative music-theatre projects are welcome. Only composers, playwrights, lyricists, or librettists who are current graduate students, as well as those who have graduated from an accredited degree granting institution (undergraduate or graduate) within the past five years, or are a current Yale student, are eligible to apply.  Click here: http://www.facebook.com/l/bfadc;drama.yale.edu/YIMT/_images/YIMT … et0910.pdf for this year’s guidelines and application materials. Please feel free to contact us with any questions at YIMT@yale.edu.

WELCOME PLAYWRIGHTS!
Thank you for considering sharing your time and talent with us! We love having the opportunity to work with both emerging and established writers. On this page, you will find information on our submission requirements and deadlines. If you have any questions regarding submissions, you may direct them to info@nufanensemble.com The n.u.f.a.n. ensemble has shifted its focus to producing festivals for the 2009-2010 season. We look forward reading new work created by writers from around the world. New work is defined as a play that has never had a full production (table readings and workshops are acceptable, however). Submissions must be in standard industry format, including page numbers and binding. Please remove all identifying information from the title page of the script. Your contact information should be included on a separate page.

(Please acquaint yourselves with these guidelines. If you are unsure how to format your script – please follow the link. We consider one properly formatted page equals roughly one minute. Binding can be anything from a staple to a folder, but the work must be securely bound.)

One hard copy of the script should be sent to;
The n.u.f.a.n. ensemble
c/o Paul Barile
